The Next Generation in Metal Traceability

Hi-Temp RFID Labels for Metal Manufacturing

A Patented, Proven Solution for Metal Manufacturers

GO2 Partners is proud to offer a solution for RFID tracking applications for demanding, high-temperature production in metal manufacturing.

This flag tag is designed with a passive RFID inlay. It offers multiple adhesive options, providing manufacturers with an innovative base solution that can be tailored to specific production needs. The specialized, high-temp materials and innovative label design allow for application on metal coils and plates up to 700˚ F (371˚ C). These materials act as an insulator, protecting the RFID inlay. Once the label is applied and as the metal cools, the coils and plates can be tracked using a standard RFID receiver.

Frequently Asked Questions on Hi-Temp Labels

What is the hi-temp RFID label?

Hi-temp labels use specialized, heat-resistant materials to protect the information on the label. Adhesives can also be designed to resist heat and ensure adhesion in extreme temperatures. Unfortunately, labels in the past wouldn't protect the relatively fragile RFID transmitter, making them impossible to use for high temperatures and extreme production conditions. A hi-temp RFID label uses an innovative design and specialized materials to protect the passive RFID transmitter from extreme heat.

Where and how can I use the hi-temp RFID label?

The label can be applied to metal coils and plates up to 700˚ F (371˚ C). The transmitter is protected on the label but can be operated on materials up to 180˚ F (82˚ C). With a range of options for label adhesives and applications, the labels can be used for a wide range of manufacturing needs.

How are these labels different?

It comes down to the design and materials. The innovative label design and the specialized materials make this a next-generation label solution that supports a passive RFID transmitter, which was an important part of the patent award.

What equipment do I need to use the hi-temp RFID label?

Other than the label itself? To print the label, you will need a standard RFID printer. To track it, you'll need an RFID receiver. If you are interested in RFID tracking or want to explore your options, contact the metals team at GO2 Partners.

What benefits can I expect to see with the RFID labels?

While many manufacturers will implement RFID for asset and material tracking, the extreme temperatures and difficult working conditions can make metal traceability and product tracking challenging. These RFID labels will increase safety by reducing worker exposure to extreme heat and dangerous conditions.
